Kenny Hood Catches Over 100 Fish and Lands in 4th Place

Posted on July 19, 2020 at 10:20 PM

The first ever VTF online fishing tournament concluded on July 12th, 2020 as a field of 28 competitors fished from Monday July 6th until the end of the event. Kenny Hood from Broomfield, Colorado finished in 4th place with a 5 fish limit of 89.5”

Quantity was the name of the game for Kenny Hood. Throughout the week, Hood covered water and capitalized on high percentage areas and shaded spots from less than a foot of water all of the way to 8’ deep. He chose to fish two different bodies of water throughout the week; one had a lot of aquatic vegetation while the other had rocks and steep ledges. Hood explains that these lakes receive very little pressure from bank fisherman as the shoreline is not very accessible leaving multitudes of fishing opportunities for kayakers and boaters. Kenny Hood used a ¼ oz Natural Craw Original Menace Jig by Menace Baits trailered with a Zoom Green Pumpkin Magic colored Ultra Vibe Speed Craw to catch over 100 fish!

The VTF Summer 2020 Circuit is an engaging series of three 1-week online fishing tournaments held over the course of a three-month season. Anglers submit a limit of their longest bass and compete for big prizes while receiving points based off how they finish to compete for the coveted VTF Circuit Angler of the Season award.
